Pwede ba temporary plate?

So I’m a newbie kaka bili lang ng motor this friday, and while waiting for the original plate and or/cr, sabi sakin sa casa mauuna raw dumating soft copy ng or/cr, and pag dating daw ng soft copy pwede raw lagyan ng temporary plate and xerox or/cr ang dala. Question ko is pwede ba yung ganun lang? tinatanggap ba sa mga checkpoints yung ganun?
