Why Summit feels like a CS2 Ancient rework

I’ve only played the new map a few times, but I instantly felt a sense of familiarity during my playtime. Many people have said it’s like a combination of Corrode and Sunset, but I feel like it’s more akin to CS2’s Ancient. You can probably get a sense of what I mean by comparing the two maps side by side with my markings, but I also want to give a more in depth explanation by analyzing each of the colors I labeled with my own explanations.

Cyan/Beige - These are the main retake paths that defenders will be taking.

Right Site - Consists of two square areas (dark green), with the topmost portion allowing two lanes for the defenders to retake the site. Summit changes this a little by placing an interactive door which closes off one of these lanes and adds a bit more depth to the gameplay. The lower square column is nestled into the planting area and provides a bit of cover to move around and play from. One of the key differences here is that Summit’s column is far larger. The blue portion of the site represents the area of space most of the action will probably occur (where most attacking teams would likely flood to), while lime green represents back site / cubby areas. Essentially, it seems like Summit flipped Ancient’s B site on its horizontal axis and placed the main entry on the opposing side as well. Summit’s A main area even has a feeling similar to the bottom of Ancient’s B ramp.

Yellow/Hot Pink - These lines are the general pathways attackers will be taking to the bombsites. Notice how these routes are very similar across both maps, with slight differences only to where the forks are. For example, Summit’s intersection between the yellow line and the red area functions almost identically to Ancient’s cave, just with an added hallway in the back.

Left Site - There are boxes in front of the main chokepoint (lime green) for defenders to stall from and give attackers some post plant positioning options. Summit’s hut area (dark green) essentially functions as a heavily scaled up version of Ancient’s site boxes. This cover serves as a way to potentially divide the site into multiple sections through smoke and utility usage. The orange route functions as a sort of ‘secret passageway’ that serves as an alternate route for defenders to retake from. Again, Summit makes this hallway more interesting by adding the interactive falling door.

Purple - The linkage between Mid and Left Site. This is probably the most different part between the two maps since Summit adds an entire hallway connecting multiple sections together (white). Yet whenever I’m playing this area on Summit, I can’t help but imagine myself as the donut player on Ancient. My job as a defender in this section just feels the same between both maps, but with a few more options on Summit.

Overall I actually really enjoy the map, but maybe I’m just biased since Ancient was one of my favorite CS2 maps when I still played. If after all that you somehow still don't see the similarities, here's an overlapped image of the maps combined:
