Should I read the manga?

So I finished the Stone Ocean anime around 1 week ago and I am very curious for Steel ball run, part 8 and part 9

My only question is that should I read the manga or should I wait for the anime to air

What are yalls thoughts, is the manga better than the anime or vise versa.

(Also im not a regular manga reader, if i read it's prolly gonna be my 1st time reading manga; would that ruin my experience of SBR or not)
