How do I connect with women who are older than me?

I've noticed that I've always been more attracted to women who are a bit older than me. I don't have issues, it's just that I tend to find them more confident, interesting and attractive compared to women my age.

The thing that makes it more difficult for me is that I don't have a lot of dating experience. I'd like to gain more dating experience and build confidence. I am just not sure how to go about it. Most dating advice seems aimed at meeting people from your own age, and I feel like things work differently when there's an age gap involved. Also I've heard quite some stories about younger men dating older women, but it seems a lot harder in reality than people make it sound.

For people who have experience with this, what actually works? Where do you meet older women, and what qualities do they generally look for in a younger guy? Does having limited experience make a big difference? Any advice would be appreciated!
