Release (No AI)

Dear Self-Hosters,

Would like to introduce the autonomous AI user feature in OneDev community edition - the self-hosted all-in-one git service.

An AI user can be assigned to an issue, read the issue context as the work specification, create a controlled workspace, make code changes, and open a pull request. From there, the same AI user can respond to review feedback, fix failed CI/CD builds, resolve merge conflicts, and update the pull request until it is ready.

AI users can also participate in review. They can be added as pull request reviewers or assignees to inspect changes, leave line comments, approve or request changes, and optionally merge when required reviews and CI/CD checks pass.

The main idea is that AI work is no longer handled as a separate chat session. Requirements stay in issues, execution happens in preconfigured isolated workspaces, code changes go through pull requests, and validation remains in CI/CD. This keeps the full development trail visible and reviewable by the team.

OneDev can also route AI work by rule, such as assigning matching issues to an AI user or requiring AI review through pull request settings and branch protection rules.
