FLR(M) application: UK Master's transcripts previously accepted, now being asked for degree certificate after submission?
Hi everyone,
Got a bit of a strange one and was wondering if anyone has come across this before.
My wife is currently reapplying for FLR(M), and today we received an email asking for her degree certificate to satisfy the English language requirement. She completed a Master's degree in the UK.
With the original application, we submitted her academic transcripts, as that's what was listed in the document checklist. She may have misplaced her original certificate parchment. Her university takes around three to four weeks to issue a replacement degree certificate, but we've only been given 14 days to respond.
I'm not really sure what the best course of action is. Should we reply explaining that it's not possible to obtain the certificate within the deadline, and resend the transcripts in case they weren't forwarded by TLS or were missed?
What I find odd is that the degree certificate wasn't requested in the document checklist. The transcripts were, and that's exactly what we submitted. They were also accepted for her first spouse visa application.
Has anyone experienced something similar or have any advice on what we should do?
Thanks in advance!
