Local meno specialist here tells me my period will come back. Haven’t had it since Dec. Why is she so insistent that it’s not done?

Some background: I’m 48, my period has been skipping around for 3-4 months at a time for the past 2-3 years. I’m at 6.5 months now so technically it could be done, right?
