Ghost Max 3: Stick with the stock insoles or use my custom orthotics?
I recently got a pair of Brooks Ghost Max 3, and I’m honestly loving them so far. One thing that surprised me is how comfortable the stock insoles feel. They’re incredibly soft, and I actually enjoy wearing them.
The problem is that I also have custom orthotics made by my podiatrist for flat feet. Whenever I use them, my feet end up feeling much more uncomfortable. After about 5 hours on my feet, I’m already in pain and just want to take my shoes off.
With the stock insoles, I actually feel more comfortable, but I’m worried that maybe I’m sacrificing long-term support for short-term comfort.
I’m asking because this Thursday I’ll be standing and walking for around 8 hours at the Lorde & Florence + The Machine concert, and I’m trying to decide which setup is more likely to get me through the day without my feet giving up halfway.
