Need mic recommendations for iPhone storytelling videos (First-time buyer)

Hey everyone,

I’m buying a microphone for the first time and could really use some recommendations.

My primary camera is my iPhone 17, and I’ll mainly be creating storytelling videos and talking-head content for Instagram and YouTube. Good voice quality is my top priority.

My budget is flexible if it’s worth the investment, and I’d rather buy one good mic than upgrade later.
What would you recommend for someone starting out? If you’ve personally used a mic with an iPhone, I’d love to hear your experience.
