Chips leading the tape again but memory isn't confirming — anyone else cautious on this open?

Question

Watching the pre-market and the chip names are ripping again after Foxconn put up strong numbers over the weekend. Semis ETF up around 2.4 percent, Intel green, WDC up 6ish. Feels like the AI trade found its footing after that ugly late-June slide.

But I keep coming back to one thing: memory isn't confirming. Micron is still soft down near 975 and hasn't joined any of this. A rebound where half the group doesn't show up isn't a trend yet, it's a bounce on one headline.

The other thing bugging me is the VIX ticking up while futures are green. Small tell but it's there.

My plan is boring. I'm not chasing the gap. I want to see SPX actually reclaim and hold 7500 before I trust it. Lose that and I think it fades back toward 7440. If it holds I'll trade the names actually moving on a catalyst instead of just buying the index.

Samsung's prelim numbers tomorrow feel like the real test for memory.

Anyone else fading this open or am I being too cautious? How are you playing the 7500 level?
