Warning to IB students - My experience with Prepseven( Shankar )

I am sharing this experience so that other IB students and parents can stay cautious and avoid losing money as we did !

Earlier I was looking for academic support for my IB curriculum and came across Prepseven through a Google advertisement that appeared near the top of the search results.

I got in touch with this person Shankar Mutneja, who represented himself as a former student of Doon School with a background in Computer Science. During our convo he appeared genuine, which gave my monther confidence that this was a legitimate educational service.

We were asked to make the full payment upfront for the tutoring package, amounting to a huge sum of money! Based on the representations made to us my mother proceeded with the payment.

After receiving the payment, communication stopped, our calls and messages went unanswered and we found ourselves blocked from contacting him.

When we later requested either the promised services or a refund of our money, our experience became even more distressing. Instead of receiving support or a resolution, we felt intimidated and were again blocked from communication.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with Prepseven or Shankar Mutneja?!

My only purpose in sharing this is to warn other students and parents to perform extensive due diligence before making large upfront payments.
