USYD accommodation advice needed

Hi everyone!

I’m a new international student joining USYD this semester, and I’m currently looking for accommodation. I was hoping to get some advice from current students.

I checked the University of Sydney student accommodation options at Camperdown/Darlington campus, but they’re already full, and the other available options are outside my budget.

I’ve been looking into Scape Redfern, Scape Sydney Central, and Scape at USYD. I liked the Sydney Central option since it fits my budget better, but the Google reviews for all three locations seem quite mixed, which has made me really confused. I also checked UniLodge and noticed similar reviews there too.

My budget is around AUD 450 per week, but I’m flexible up to AUD 500 if it’s a good option.

Could anyone share their personal experience staying at these places? Or recommend any other student or private accommodations you’re currently staying at (or that your friends have had a good experience with)?

I’d really appreciate any advice, especially as someone moving to Sydney for the first time.
