Need advice on a purchase

So I’ve been thinking of doing the 4 monthly payments through (PayPal) to acquire the new Ayn Thor pro that’s roughly $409usd. Would this be a safe way to get this thing or should I save the money and buy it right out? I was told that PayPal will “pay them the full amount” while I just wait to get it in the mail.
