Have you tried turning physical books into something readable on Kobo/KOReader?
For Kobo or KOReader users: have you ever tried scanning a physical book you own so you could read it on your device?
I’m wondering where people usually give up.
Is it the manual capture part: turning every page, keeping the book flat, avoiding shadows near the gutter, checking that no pages were skipped?
Or is capture manageable, and the bigger problem is making the result readable on Kobo: PDF cropping, OCR, EPUB conversion, file size, highlights, or Calibre metadata?
I’m trying to understand whether physical-book-to-e-reader is something people actually want, but avoid because the scanning process is too tedious.
