Project Zomboid?

I've wanted this game since last year, and I finally picked it up last week. Turns out I'm a total scaredy-cat. 😭 I struggle with everything (major skill issue lol). I thought it'd be easy since I've watched so many YouTube playthroughs, but actually playing it is a completely different experience. 😂 I'm still really enjoying it though, and it's definitely worth it. Is it more fun in co-op or solo?
