I'm an indie developer and a Nikon shooter myself. For the past several months I've been building **Zensō**, an app that turns your iPhone/iPad/Mac into a second screen for Nikon Z cameras.

I designed it around a stills and general shooting workflow, the goal was to make the parts that usually feel clunky (getting connected, downloading files, remote control) feel effortless, rather than mirroring every camera menu onto a screen.

A few things it does:

**1. Connect via USB or Wi-Fi**

Plug in over USB for an instant, stable, pairing-free connection, or stay on Wi-Fi when you need to move around.

**2. Remote shooting with live view**

Exposure, focus, white balance, and shooting-mode control without touching the body.
Live view with histogram, waveform, composition guides, and custom LUTs for accurate monitoring.

**3. Automatic image transfer**

New shots land on your phone as you take them, ready to review on a bigger screen.

**4. Gallery browsing**

Download the JPEGs, RAWs, or clips you actually want from the card, instead of grabbing everything.

**5. GPS geotagging**

Sync your device's location to your camera, so outdoor and travel sets keep their location on their own.

**6. Status at a glance**

Connection, transfer, battery, and camera state.

**7. Live Activities**

Track Bulb exposure time and video recording duration from the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.

Compatibility: works across the full Nikon Z lineup: ZR, Z9, Z8, Zf, Z6 III / Z6 II / Z6, Z7 II / Z7, Z5 II / Z5, Z50 II / Z50, Zfc, Z30.

It's free to try, so if you shoot a Z body, give it a go.
I'd genuinely love feedback on everything. Bug reports and feature requests are all welcome, and I'll be around in the comments.
