The worst part of sharing a workspace is realising your chair fits neither of you

My roommate and I share a desk corner at home, including one chair. Space-saving idea, but honestly it has been rough.
The chair is just a basic one from the apartment. Seat depth is wrong for both of us in different ways. Lumbar hits me too high and my roommate too low. Armrests do not move. Passing it back and forth means neither of us ever gets a proper fit.
I have been looking for my own chair. Something adjustable, seat depth, armrests, lumbar that actually lands right. But decent ergonomic chairs start at six or seven hundred, which stings. Then I came across the Lavenne R9 Pro online, it is on crowdfunding right now. The specs check all my boxes: adjustable everything, moves with you, air support for long days. On paper it looks like exactly what I need.
But I keep going back and forth. The design fits what I am looking for, but there is always a gap between a campaign page and the real thing. Anyone else here come across this one? What are you all thinking? is it worth backing?
