How important is G0's death date on CIT-0001?
I know I can write "unknown" when filling out CIT-0001 if I don't have information for some fields, but has anyone recieved a citizenship certificate after putting "unknown" for an ancestor's death date, especially their G0's?
I did find a death date for my G0 on Ancestry, but without a source, and I haven't been able to find one. I'm not sure if I should keep trying.
I've got the rest of my G0's info (and all the info for the generations between us). Logically I know that when G0 died doesn't matter for my eligibility, and that IRCC wasn't asking for death dates before, but I don't want to do anything that could count against me.
Has IRCC granted a certificate to someone who didn't know an ancestor's death date, after they started asking? Has IRCC asked for more information about the death date, after an applicant said they didn't know?
Maybe I could mention the date from Ancestry in my cover letter and explain that I didn't put it on my CIT-0001 because of it being unsourced.
