Is seeing Cabaret with a parent a horrible idea?

I’m visiting London with my dad this summer. We’ve been thinking about seeing a musical or some other theatre show, but we haven’t decided which one yet.

I really wanna see Cabaret, but I’m afraid it might be too weird. Am I insane for even thinking of seeing it with a parent?

My dad and I are both adults. We’ve seen plays with some sexual scenes and nudity before and survived. I’m just worried that Cabaret is 2.5 hours of really explicit scenes. That might be a bit too much for us...

Should I take the risk and suggest Cabaret or should we go for something safer like The Phantom of the Opera or Matilda? Other suggestions are welcome too
