[REQUEST][STEAM] Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut (5th Attempt) - 40% off ($35.99)
Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well.
Im here to request the game ghost of tsushima. The steam summer sale is going on right now, so it’s 40% off and down to $35.99. Since the sale is gonna end in like 3 days, this is my 5th attempt trying for it, and i just wanted to share why this game means so much to me.
My love for swords goes all the way back to when i was a smol kid. Back then, smartphones were less common and not everyone had one, so my friends and i stayed outside until the sun went down. We would spend hours searching the neighborhood just to find the perfect, straightest and sturdiest sticks. To us, those weren't just sticks—they were like katanas. We would run around the backyard for hours, acting out these big samurai battles. We never wanted to hurt each other, we just wanted to feel like honorable warriors. Those long summer afternoons are still some of my favorite memories…..
As i grew up, that feeling that vibe went into video games.
I played so much of shadow fight 2. The game gives you all these crazy and flashy weapons like blood reaper, sai, staff but i always picked the keen katana especially when fighting shogun as I wanted a fair, respectful fight against shogun—just two samurai seeing who was better. It was so intense, especially when his bodyguards would jump into the ring to help him mid-fight. Also I used to play with Daisho because I love that you can use the Dai which is katana and sho which is wakizashi (shorter sword) to counter enemy attacks slash and counter but my gameplay was something fast paced so I used to slash and slash continuously. The game was so much fun that I defeated titan and other bosses like 3 times and I go back especially to fight shogun again and again.
Later on, i played metal gear rising. I loved raiden and jetstream sam. Fighting against sam’s red sword stuck with me forever and those parries and slicing animation of enemies were awesome. Also if a game lets me choose between a gun and a sword, i pick the sword as first preference every single time to enjoy the swinging and parrying.
It even got me down a rabbit hole of watching real history documentaries and videos about miyamoto musashi online just for fun.
So when i first saw ghost of tsushima, it hit me hard it really connected to me. I remember watching a clip where jin sakai just walks right up to a group of enemies to fight them head-on. He didn't run. He just stood there, pulled out his sword, and blocked every single attack before taking them down, also riding horse while surrounded by this incredibly beautiful scenery of open fields and world I seen was mind blowing. It gave me real goosebumps. The fight reminded me the exact thing my friends and i used to picture in our heads when we were swinging sticks in the dirt. Seeing that brought to life completely hooked me. The open world with samurai back ground is absolutely gorgeous.
Right now, i'm in engineering school. I work really hard and i actually get straight A's, but it's super stressful and i honestly just need a way to relax and escape. I love open worlds, and i haven't looked at any spoilers because i want to experience the whole thing myself. I'm also a big achievement hunter, so i know i'll spend 100+ hours finding every single secret on the map.
Money is just really tight right now. Every bit i have goes to tuition, books, and living costs. Even with the big summer discount, the price in my country is just too high for me to afford as a student.
If there is any generous gifter out there who could gift me this game, i would be incredibly happy and i promise i will get every single minute of enjoyment out of it and as a personal rule, i always make sure to unlock every single achievement and completely finish a gifted game before ever requesting a new one. If not, it's totally okay and no problem at all.
Thanks for reading, and hope you all have a great day!
