Top tips/guidance - Mk3 head unit change - XTRONS IDP90FSFB

I’m fitting the XTRONS IDP90FSFB-UK in my 2013 Focus this weekend. Currently have Sync 1.

Any advice from those who have done it? We are feeling cautiously optimistic after taking off the OEM head unit to scope it out last week, understanding the wiring diagram and watching a bunch of videos but I’m also reading lots of stories of it going wrong or not working as expected.

Made all the trickier by there being no manuals/instructions (yes I know it’s supposed to be fitted by a professional)

We are installing a reverse camera and external mic at the same time so anything about their compatibility/integration would be great too.
