"I'm currently working on my 4th boy, but I still want to have a girl."

RANT

With it being Summer, the ice cream truck has been rolling around in our neighborhood, and I recently joined some neighbors of mine to watch their kids get all excited for it (I may be childfree, but that doesn't mean I don't like kids.).

The ice cream truck pulls up, and my neighbors (who are in their 30s) talk about how they're expecting a fifth baby. The lady in the ice cream truck is all excited for them and remarks how she's also currently pregnant with yet another boy, but she's still hoping to one day have a girl.

I find it so disgusting that some parents treat children like they're collectibles.

"I want this many children, and I want this combination of girls and boys, and blah blah blah..."

And what does it go back to, folks?

"I-I-I-I, me-me-me-me, my-my-my-my..."

If you want to have children and truly love them, then that's great. Just be happy with what you get.
