High altitude exertion?

Does anyone else with this condition see a worsening of symptoms when at high altitudes (>2000 m / 6500 ft)? I live at sea level and have the occasional spot show up, but when hiking at higher altitudes, I tend to develop a starburst pattern of spots surrounding the center of my vision. This goes away after a period of rest and doesn't seem to leave any permanent effects. I'm not sure if it's related to lower oxygen getting to the retina or what. Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience.
