Newborn constantly cluster feeding then throwing up
My baby is 3 weeks old and has been cluster feeding a lot these last few days but when I burp him after he pulls off the breast, he regularly throws up, sometimes a little, sometimes what looks like a lot. This can also vary from fresh breast milk or sometimes partially digested breast milk where it looks quite lumpy and separated.
I don't know if I have a fast let down, I try to feed him in a reclined position but tonight he seemed frustrated, kept pulling off the boob either with my nipple still in his mouth or while smacking his lips and then crying to get back straight back on so I stayed seated in a more upright position (we primarily feed in cross cradle position as it's the one I'm most confident in and we get the best latch)
Is this normal? I feel awful that he wants the breast but keeps throwing up, although he doesn't seem upset by it, he just wants to get back on the boob.
I've gave him a pacifier to see if that will settle him and he's happily sucking away but I don't want to rely on a paci and I know that he's cluster feeding for a reason and that it can cause nipple confusion if we haven't established breast feeding (although I think we have established it?)
Just looking for support or advice, I'm a FTM and have no idea what's normal or not
