Updated PCB assembly tool using Altium files
I made a post a month ago about a tool to view altium files https://www.reddit.com/r/Altium/comments/1tpg30p/altium_tool_to_view_board_and_track_what/
I got a bunch of feedback, thanks for everyone who messaged me. I have

-
Do-Not-Fit (DNP) mode — a new Show DNP view highlights every no-fit part across the whole board. DNP data is read from the project's
.PrjPcbactive variant and shown as red-X markers on the board and red refs in the BOM (DNP parts count as "done" for row completion). -
Auto-loading of companion files — opening a board now automatically pulls in a sibling
.PrjPcb(DNP data) and<board>.popstate.json(your saved placement progress). -
Recent files — a dropdown on Open File to jump straight back to recently opened boards.
-
Auto Save — optionally write progress to
<board>.popstate.jsonafter every change; the setting is remembered between sessions. -
Fit Selection & Auto Zoom — zoom to the selected BOM row's components, on demand or automatically as you step through.
-
Designator labels toggle for the selected row's parts.
-
Undo / redo of placement toggles (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y).
-
Hide Fitted — collapse fully-placed BOM rows to focus on what's left.
-
Colour-blind-safe palette (Okabe-Ito) for selection / placed / DNP, consistent across desktop and browser.
