Looking for an OT in michigan

Resources/News/Research

I've gotten the referral from my doctor, but all the OTs i can find ONLY work on hands for some reason?

I need to get evaluated for what mobility aids would be helpful as I am interested in forearm/ smart crutches but most PTs are entirely unwilling to leave the "i can fix you" mindset enough to have the "what does the long term outlook look like" conversation. I've had betterish luck with PTs that work mostly on old people but even that is sketchy. Id love to find someone who is hypermobility knowledgeable but honestly atp i'll settle for any OT that will look at my legs atp. I asked my cousin who just finished PT school and his response was basically "yeah you won't find an OT" and "hEDS is the most common and treatable variant so any PT should be fine" when i asked if he knew anyone :/

Preferably in the southeastern michigan/metro detroit area. Anyone have any recs?
