Achilles tendon pain

Has anyone had achilles tendon pain after wearing Birks? And if so, did anything help reduce it or did you just have to stop wearing them? I suspect mine are triggering pain in the lower achilles area after I take them off after walking in them.

Here's a way too detailed explanation in case its helpful:

I wore my big buckle Arizonas (they are a couple years old but in great shape) everywhere while traveling back in March. I even wore them in my hotel room because I didn't want to be barefoot on the carpets. So basically had them on 12+ hrs per day.

Anyway when I returned home and was barefoot again in my house, I noticed an achy/burny pain and stiffness around the back of my ankle, just above the heel. It occurs in the morning or after I've been sitting for awhile and start walking again.

The pain lasted a couple of months then gradually went away. Now I hadn't worn my Arizonas much since that trip because of the wet weather here. But today I decided to put them on for a short walk. When I got home and kicked them off, the annoying pain came right back, and is doing the same thing, hurting after being off my feet for awhile. So now I'm wondering if my Arizona's are the culprit.
