Financialhouse's weekly minecraft tutorial #4: trading halls

:guide: Guides & Tutorials

Yo guys, financialhouse back again with a brand new tutorial on trading halls. If you're struggling on them, you just came to the right reddit post. With this tutorial, you'll be able to turn your trading halls into a cheap way of trading in schedule of expensive, expensive, and more expensive

You will need:

Any building block

Levers

Redstone dust

Pistons

Any work station

Villagers

A name tag

An anvil

A zombie

Trap doors

Now lets get us started

  1. Dig 1x3 holes (1 block tall, 3 wide) spaced apart by 1 block. dig down 1 at the end, put pistons at the bottem of the holes you just dug. Put redstone dust in the remaining spots, set levers at the end on the block forwards to the near the end of the redstone dust.

  2. Take your building block and make upside down U Shapes 3 blocks high above the holes.

  3. Dig down 2 blocks behind the entirety of the trading hall, at night, get a zombie in there and use an anvil to name a name tag and name the zombie. Roof the pit off so the zombie doesn't burn

  4. Put a layer on top of the roof behind the build so when you zombify the villagers, they won't burn.

  5. Put whatever workstations you want ( if it's your first trading hall, I'd recommend using a composter, fletching table, and lectern ) on the first piece of redstone dust to stop your villagers from escaping.

  6. Trap villagers inside the 1 by 2 holding cages, ( if you are in bedrock edition, spawning a baby villager and use slabs to keep it from escaping) place a block in front of the block above the block of the villagers and place trap doors until they cover with a villager when closed. Once you got that down , break the block on top of the trap door.

And Now you're trading hall is complete. When you finished your trading farm, You can use your villagers and get some stuff, a bunch of stuff. This method isn't only for just 3 villagers. You can put as many as you want in here.
