**CONNECTIONS**

* Jason Peter Todd and Charlotte "Charlie" Emily were once simple children. Granted, their neglectful and criminal fathers did disappear from their lives literally and figuratively (Jason's father Willis was a neglectful crook who abandoned the Todds and Charlie's father Henry was a corrupt espionager barely ever around), but Jason and Charlie's lives were... somewhat fine. This didn't last.
* Through the actions of the skinny and gaunt purple and green antagonists (the Joker and William Afton), Jason and Charlie brutally lost their lives and left to bleed out in dark locations (an abandoned warehouse and the alleyway of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza).
* Death was not the end for Jason and Charlie, since they would be revived by mythical organisms (Superboy-Prime and Remnant) and become something better... at least in the eyes of the main antagonists (Jason became a vigilante and Charlie became a possessed robot).
* These revivals brought both good and bad to Jason and Charlie. Luckily, they could remember their memories due to unnatural phenomenons (a Lazarus Pit and Agony), but these also changed their personalities for the worst, becoming vengeful and murderous vigilantes.
* Because of their new forms, Jason and Charlie took up new identities to bring revenge to their killers, criminals and anyone who generally opposed them (Red Hood and the Puppet). These identities were most known for their single-coloured masks with dead eyes.
* A little while after heavily planning to get their ultimate revenge, Red Hood and the Puppet started roaming in their cities, only looking for the men that took their lives from them.
* Red Hood and the Puppet's "fathers", while doing bad actions for the right thing and taking actions against their archenemies a large portion of their fanbases don't agree with (Batman is criticized for not killing Joker and Henry is criticized for taking decades to make a poorly designed trap to kill William), do genuinely care about Jason and Charlie, only wanting the best for them, even if it requires violence (Batman may have to physically fight Red Hood and Henry essentially kidnapped Charlie by locking her in a massive bear).
* But, in the current day, Jason and Charlie are just like the men who raised them; good people doing questionable things, like murder, intense assault and major destruction. They are also unfortunately impulsive, reckless and rageful.
* Their surnames are both able to be used as first names (Todd and Emily).

**CONTRASTS**

* While Jason hasn't properly gotten his revenge on Joker, Charlie is now at peace due to the fire of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place.
* Jason is mentally an adult after his death while Charlie is still a child, despite being approximately double or so Jason's age.
