Considering moving to Dublin

My partner and I are seriously considering moving to the Dublin area, and I’d love to hear some honest opinions from people who actually live there.
I’m 40, my partner is 25, and we currently live in Wooster. We’re looking for somewhere with more things to do, good restaurants, parks, shopping, and just an overall better quality of life. We don’t have kids, so schools aren’t really a deciding factor for us.
A few questions:
What’s it really like living in Dublin?
Is it worth the higher cost of living?
Are there certain neighborhoods you’d recommend (or avoid)?
How’s the traffic and commute around the area?
Do you find there’s plenty to do on weekends?
If you moved there from a smaller town, was it worth it?
I’ve visited the Columbus area a few times, but spending a weekend somewhere is obviously different from actually living there. We’d love to hear the good, the bad, and anything you wish you knew before moving.
Thanks in advance! Looking forward to hearing everyone’s experiences.
