Coparenting one year old
I’m feeling guilty about my ex not getting as much time with my LO. We split 2 weeks ago, he has moved out (moving out… so much stuff is left)
At current the arrangement is he gets her
Sundays 11:30-3:30
Wednesdays 1-4 (this is what he decided)
My girl is in nursery Monday and Friday so really I wake up with her, give her breakfast and then she’s off for the day until dinner then bed so there’s no real point in including those days.
I have told him that he can’t have her overnight until he can provide evidence of being sober for at least a month.
I’m trying hard to be fair because my daughter deserves to have a father and I don’t want what happened in our relationship to cloud that. But if I’m being honest, I can’t tell if it does.
At the moment she is extremely attached to me, I offer routine, predictability, security etc and I read that for a young one it’s more important that they see their parent frequently in the week rather than doing over night stays.
I was just wondering if this looks like a fair arrangement at all? If not, can someone share how they did it?
I just want to make sure I’m being fair to my daughter and not accidentally keeping her away out of resentment.
