Japan 2 week solo travel advice

Looking for advice on best locations or places to stay in Tokyo (4 nights), fujikawaguchiko (2 nights), Kyoto (3 nights), Osaka (3 nights). I will be travelling in November and have a budget of £2000 for accommodation.

Also are there any activities from your trips which you would recommend or avoid??

I am a 30 year old male, I’d obviously like to meet people as I travel but I don’t want to stay in dorms - happy to have private room in hostels though. Any advice on best ways to meet people in Tokyo (apps to use to book trips etc?)
