Seeking clarification on dependents & family size in reapplying for PAYE/PSLF.

Hey, just been doing research and getting conflicted advice whether my wife can include me (her spouse) as a dependent. Posts from a couple of months ago read like you can, and I even feel like the questionnaire on the .gov website even let you put the option of including your spouse as a dependent.

But now the website is clearly stating that you can't include your spouse. I am aware of the difference between claiming dependents for tax purposes, and she doesn't for me there and we file-seperately. But I've read on websites that the qualification differs for StudentsLoan and I should be able to be claimed (if she helps with more than 50% of my expenses).

Would she just increase the family size +1 if I want to get included?

And bonus question: if my wife's AGI will be lower this year than last year how can we make the payment reflect the new amount? I've read I could provide a current paystub to prove it. But would that only be after accepting the new rate/plan and then speaking to someone to adjust it. I'd preferably like it to be adjusted prior to accepting. Just not trusting this government to act in good faith or for our benefit at all!
