Period and holiday

I’ve got my holiday tomorrow and was due on my period today I was wondering how managing both would work, I can use tampons but occasionally get Small leaks when it’s full and I’ve never used them swimming.Would constantly getting in and out of the pool make it leak? I like to go in every 20 mins or so to cool off ,Would I need to change it every time I get out the pool? Kinda nervous to leak in front of my family. I’ve heard about cups but I’m not sure if I want to trial that on the holiday. any tips?
