My take on the Balogun situation: two bad decisions cancel each other out

As a US fan, I’ve been wrestling with how to feel, since I don’t want a potential US win OR loss to feel tainted (I think if they’d lost without Balogun it would’ve left a what if).

What I’ve come to is this: both decisions were bad, neither were ideal. But in the end? We have a situation similar to what would have been if none of this had happened, two wrong decisions canceled each other out, so let’s just play now.
