Signal forcing me to re register a registered phone

I keep having issues with the signal app. When I was in Europe, signal was working fine when a message came up that I needed to re register. I didnt change Sim cards or devices. It happened while I was actively using signal. Now back in the US, it still says I need to re register an already registered device. I am currently using an iphone 16xe. Any input would be greatly appreciated
