Sending food to school for 8 month old
I work in childcare but our center doesn't take them until 18 months and it's been years since I helped in infants at my old center. Now that my baby is a lot more comfortable with eating, we're going to start offering food in the mornings as well as the evenings. She's in care 3 days a week. At home, she typically eats whatever we're having and isn't a huge fan of purees and being spoon fed. She definitely prefers BLW and feeding herself. I thought about doing spoon fed foods for school and BLW meals at home. I feel like spoon fed foods are easier for the teachers but I worry she'll fight them on it.
When I helped out in infants, there was only one younger baby (like under 1) that was BLW and I remember the leads always being annoyed with his parents for sending stuff in for him to feed himself. They complained about how messy it was because obviously he was still learning to feed himself. I know these days BLW to start is a lot more popular, but give me all the opinions.
Infant teachers: Is it a pain in the ass? Should I only send in purees?
Parents: Any food ideas or suggestions? What do you send to school with your baby?
