Why do they hate being at our house?
I am a stay at home mom currently with a toddler and pregnant with my second. My mom lives five minutes down the road, and I probably see her once a week at the most. And that's usually just that our church. Every once in a while, she'll invite me out to breakfast or invite us over to her house for dinner. But very rarely will she actually stop by.
When she is here, she's in a super rush to leave. She always has an excuse as to why she can only stay 10 to 15 minutes. But in reality, it's just way easier for me for her to come here. Again, I'm pregnant with a toddler and my husband and I only have one vehicle. Of course, she's very quick to complain about how she never sees me or her grandchild.
Is it something about coming to my house? It seems like the soon as she steps through the door she's uncomfortable and anxious. I pretty much have to run the entire conversation myself because she is so disconnected. Anyone else notice this?
