What is your college life actually like and how much does it resemble the movies?
I live in a country where universities are poorly rated and don’t feel much different from high schools.
The discipline is rigid, student freedom is highly restricted, and the only real difference is that the coursework is brutal. We spend almost all our time memorizing and studying, with zero extracurricular activities.
That’s why I want to ask those of you abroad, Is your university life actually like the movies? Is it really packed with wild parties, romance, endless events, fraternities, clubs, and competitions? Do students truly have the freedom to wear and do whatever they want, backed by rights that protect them from unfair expulsion or abuse by professors? Or is this Hollywood portrayal just a massive exaggeration?
