Looking for early game storage tips
I bought the game this week and have loved it and made it to around level 22 so far. I am holding off on playing much more until I can restart when 1.0 is out.
I have several lessons learned so far that I am looking forward to applying to a new start, assuming mechanics are similar in 1.0. I picked a pretty poor location for my starting base and I know I can do better next time, it took me awhile to realize just how many ways Pals can be useful around your base, and the things I did build in my base were organized really haphazardly because there was no way to anticipate the bigger picture at the start.
But the thing I can't quite envision is how to organize my storage. I am coming from games like Valheim, Subnautica, and Planet Crafter where organized and labeled storage is pretty important for progression. I love how Palworld crafting pulls from the storage inventory and love that I can automatically dump inventory items into storage (but embarrassed about how many hours it took to realize that). So I am thinking not all of that organization may be necessary. But there are some things I am realizing I do want and need to organize manually like ammo, spheres, equipment, and schematics.
How to do guys handle early game storage? What are your tips and tricks for a relatively new player? Do you use chest settings to make super specialized storage or do you keep it all general? What storage types do you prefer? Do you just build out chests etc horizontally or do you go vertical? Do you label?
