Run a car without coolant or radiator ?

Hello all. Engine on my car blew a head gasket and it wasnt the original one (XUD9 swap by a previous owner).
So i decided to swap the engine for an original XUD7 and i changed seals, hoses etc...
Now im in the process of putting the engine and gearbox back in the car.

Can i start it without any coolant in the block nor a radiator mounted ?
Just running it for 10 to 15 seconds to see if everything is alright ?
