medically DQ’d despite having a clearance?

Air National Guard

I had a past Emergency Room (ER) visit where I was evaluated, treated, and discharged directly home (not formally admitted as an inpatient). During that visit, I was diagnosed with standard depression. I was never prescribed antidepressants, I don’t have ongoing treatment, I’m not on any mediation, and this was over 36 months ago.

It does not impair me or affect my judgment.

This wasn’t an issue when receiving a clearance as I was never hospitalized (psych ward, inpatient care, etc.), and never got diagnosed with any major conditions.

But I guess the process is diffrent for actually joining the military because ANY thing regarding mental health gets an automatic DQ,

I don’t know what to do. Has anyone else experienced this?
