To Upgrade or Not to Upgrade (iPhone 13 Pro Max to... ???)

I (22 F) have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Its battery is busted at under 77% capacity, and the back is entirely shattered. There's also an issue alert with my camera. I was wondering if I should get it fixed, which might cost me around 300-500CAD at a repair shop, or if I should just upgrade.

My 13 promax is completely fine, as in: it works and doesn't have any noticeable hardware issues (besides the unknown camera issue).

If I were to upgrade, I'd buy refurbished. But I don't know what to get... The 14, 15, 16... (plus, pro, Pro Max, base)

Here are some stuff to note:

1. I don't game heavily or edit videos.
2. The Pro Max is way too big for my hands and my pockets
3. I want a good, high-quality camera, but I don't care too much about crazy zoom capacities (the 13 Promax was a bit eh anyway). I hear if the quality is better, I can just crop it. But if the zoom is genuinely worth it, then I don't mind spending a bit more for the camera.
4. I'd like good battery life
5. I'm clumsy and drop my phone a lot.
6. I'd like to stay within a decent budget. Nothing over 800CAD unless absolutely necessary.

If the 13 Pro Max is still a good phone in 2026, then I'll just repair it.
