I feel like the " go back for the money" ending should have been " go back for dutch"
By now I think most people agree that arthur going back for the money doesn't make much sense, unless you stretch the definition. But i think it would be so interesting if instead it was arthur going back to stop dutch and micah from getting the money, as a sort of final push against his former father. and then it could also serve the dual purpose of securing John's future by stopping dutch and/or micah potentially hunting john down, obviously we know dutch and micah didn't go after John, but neither arthur or John know that, the last time they saw Dutch he was shooting at them and he doesn't take "betrayal" lightly and then micah is obviously incredibly violent at the best of times, so to have arthur attempt to take them down still fits the low honour angle by having arthur choose an act of violence in his final moments, and then gives so much more meaning to the act. instead of arthur wanting the money for himself or somehow thinking he can safely and successfully deliver the money to John when he can barely breathe, hes putting all his strength towards stopping dutch.
