What would cause the iDrive not to reboot?

I’ve got a 2015 BMW 650i that’s the iDrive and Bluetooth/USB connection is acting up (USB is grayed out) and Bluetooth Connects but no audio will play. I’ve looked up the videos that say hold the power(volume) button for 30 to 70 seconds, the iDrive will not power down or reboot no matter how long I hold the button down. I should also mention that I did not get my parking cameras to show up either it was just black screen with the car in the middle, and when I turned the car complete off my steering wheel did not go back up to the “stowed/neutral position”. I’ve tried waiting 30 minutes and coming back and trying again, I’ve tried doing it with the car off in Diagnostic mode. I’m at a loss here. Dealership says for 546 I can get the “software updated” but that may not even fix the issue so I’m basically rolling the dice and paying to possibly get fucked anyway. Yes I’ve looked at other posts on Reddit as well. I don’t want to revive dead threads or ask a question others have answered. But none of the answers I’ve found online have fixed this issue. What do I do next? If I unplug the battery am I going to run into more issues? Any and all help would be highly appreciated! Thank you for your time!
