Appendicitis 2nd time

Im female, 59 currently been taking oral doxycycline for the past week for an eye stye. I had a hysterectomy in 2023 and had acute appendicitis about 2 years ago. hospitalised, treated with IV antibiotics . Too much scar tissue from hysterectomy and no fecalith present, we opted out of surgery and antibiotics worked!

Currently : 24 hours ago , I started out with bad cramps , bloat and pain in lower right side. Accompanied by zero appetite, unable to pass gas, burping, a 30 min bout of chills. After a few hours rest I started to feel a bit better. I had a bowel moment and passed gas and, appetite returned. no cramping at all. Currently just tenderness on right side when touched.
Question: could the oral doxycycline be working on an inflamed appendix to keep it from getting worse?
Two years ago the pain never subsided only worsened. The fact that I am feeling better makes me question if it is appendicitis at all? Although last night symptoms matched exactly. Not convinced I should go to see doc if I keep feeling better. I have two more days left of the doxycycline .
