Stepping down as a Shift Lead(2 weeks in)

I know I’m going to get a couple of smart arse comments, but I came in externally as a shift lead (I’ve posted prior) and I’ve quickly found, due to the cuts I wasn’t aware of when joining, the responsibility just isn’t for me. I’m on Nights, and I just want to fill my section and go home.

What is the procedure to step down, I haven’t met my NTM yet as he’s on holiday, but I just wanted to gauge some responses from more experienced people on here before I go in. I am still well into my probation, so they could just wash their hands of me, so I’d have to be careful.

I’m more than happy to continue working my 5 nights, on the same schedule.
