A plan tells you the exact steps to take. A compass tells you the direction to move in, even when the path isn't fully visible yet. That distinction matters more than it sounds, because most career and life decisions don't come with a clear step-by-step route. They come with uncertainty.

And those who stay stuck are usually the ones waiting for a plan that's never going to show up before they're willing to move.

A compass works differently. It doesn't promise you the whole journey. It just tells you, in this moment, whether you're heading toward what actually matters to you or away from it.

That's what a North Star document gives you. A clear picture of your values, your priorities, and what you're building toward, so that every decision in front of you has something real to be measured against.

Without it, you're guessing. Every opportunity looks equally plausible, every choice feels heavier than it should, and you end up making decisions based on what's familiar instead of what's actually right for you.

If you've been feeling that pull, the sense that something needs to shift but you can't quite name what, I'm covering exactly this on the 9th.

Join me for the free webinar, "You're Not Burned Out. You're Misaligned." We'll get into the real difference between the two, and what it actually takes to build a compass you can trust.

The North Star document is more than a plan. It's a compass.
