why can't i understand contracts?

it was my worst subject in law school and my only C in any class ever. It just makes no sense to me I cannot understand it no matter how many times I read the rules and examples and look at alternate explanations I just cannot understand any of the rules.

Can anyone explain why this might be??? what makes contracts so different from the other subjects?? Like is there some fundamental assumption that I am missing/ did anyone else feel this way and then figure out how to overcome this block? or any resources that helped you specifically with contracts.
