Normal car recommendations

Hello car people,

I need a comfortable car to commute 50 miles a day in. The budget 3k tops and I need something good on fuel and reliable.

I can do basic maintenance but really need something that won’t bleed me dry or suddenly give me a 3k bill.

My second car is an e39 540i as a weekend / road trip car so that ticks the v8 + fast(ish) + money hungry boxes.

Any advice on what to get?

I have 6 days lol
